In Isolation

I thought I would just like to put pen to paper, well fingers to keyboard, and document my families time spent while in 12 week isolation from coronavirus (Covid-19).

My wife falls into the high risk category, as she is currently undergoing treatment for Lymphoma (blood cancer) and has been given the stark government advice to stay indoors and see no-one, don't go out, don't pass go and definitely don't collect £200. We are all joining her on her 12 week journey - hopefully by which time things may have changed for the better.

Day 7

29/03/2020

Today has a slight advantage over all others of the "shielding" era - it's the shortest day of the year, and yes before any of you pedants reading this say, "no, December 21st is the shortest day" - I'm talking number of hours in the day... only 23 to get through today!

Day 6

28/03/2020

Woke up this morning, and my first thought was of the loveable Manc rogue Morrissey, I don't normally think of 80s pop stars when I wake up, but on this occasion it seemed apt.

Day 5

27/03/2020

Well the sun is still shining here in Kent, looking out the window there is a lovely blue sky - all appears good with the world - except there is no-one out there. Normally the street outside our house is full of cars, parked up to avoid the in-town car park charges, but now, we don't need double yellow lines, as the street is pretty much deserted....
