In Isolation

I thought I would just like to put pen to paper, well fingers to keyboard, and document my families time spent while in 12 week isolation from coronavirus (Covid-19).

My wife falls into the high risk category, as she is currently undergoing treatment for Lymphoma (blood cancer) and has been given the stark government advice to stay indoors and see no-one, don't go out, don't pass go and definitely don't collect £200. We are all joining her on her 12 week journey - hopefully by which time things may have changed for the better.

Day 138

07/08/2020

Little man had another good night's sleep back in his big boys bed - it was a real shame, being away where he wasn't the same happy boy at bed time. Clearly it didn't help that he had some long sleeps during the daytime, while we were away, but equally clearly he needs his bed with lots of space for him to move around and make him happy!...

Day 137

06/08/2020

137 days gone - this is a ridiculous amount of time, and while for most, some semblance of "normality" has been restored during this time, for us (and other shielders) nothing has changed. Granted we had our 5 days away, which was fantastic, but all too soon the realisation hits you that nothing really has changed!

Days 131 - 136

05/08/2020

Well it's been a few days since I have posted on here. As a last minute thing the 4 of us got away for a few days, staying on a fruit farm outside High Halstow - while it wasn't exactly "going away" as in a long way, but it was great. It was just what we needed, a break from our own four walls......
