In Isolation

I thought I would just like to put pen to paper, well fingers to keyboard, and document my families time spent while in 12 week isolation from coronavirus (Covid-19).

My wife falls into the high risk category, as she is currently undergoing treatment for Lymphoma (blood cancer) and has been given the stark government advice to stay indoors and see no-one, don't go out, don't pass go and definitely don't collect £200. We are all joining her on her 12 week journey - hopefully by which time things may have changed for the better.

Day 46

07/05/2020

Well, 24 hours have passed and no sign of that bloody phone call from hospital. I am working on the principle that no news is good news. My wife isn't showing any symptoms, so I am more than happy the test will come back negative, when they eventually deign to tell her/us - it us, as we are a team....

Day 45

06/05/2020

Well today started off just like any day recently - our little one had a nice lay in until 9am - mind you, not that we get a lay in, as my wife is still waking early! At least it meant we had time for a cup of tea and biscuits in peace - not that little one is a problem coming into our bed, but it is still nice to have that time to ourselves....

Day 44

05/05/2020

Another late start today - it's funny, when people talk about a "new normal" I think, is this it, is this the new normal - getting up at 9.30, spending hours over doing, well nothing, having lunch, spending more hours over doing, well nothing. Having tea/dinner, spending hours doing, well nothing, then going to bed - rinse and repeat.
