In Isolation

I thought I would just like to put pen to paper, well fingers to keyboard, and document my families time spent while in 12 week isolation from coronavirus (Covid-19).

My wife falls into the high risk category, as she is currently undergoing treatment for Lymphoma (blood cancer) and has been given the stark government advice to stay indoors and see no-one, don't go out, don't pass go and definitely don't collect £200. We are all joining her on her 12 week journey - hopefully by which time things may have changed for the better.

Day 52

Got up late again today, becoming a bit of a trend this - don't know what will happen if we ever get back to "normal" - whatever that is or will mean going forward.

Another late start to the day, it has been quite good this people not working lark, as our neighbour normally gets up for work around 4.30, which normally disturbs his kids, who then cry, which wakes our little one up! Normally he then settles again, until wife of next door decides to start hoovering at 5.30 - yes, 5.30 in...

Day 50

Well it only took 120 hours, but my wife finally got the results of her Covid-19 test today. Having left an urgent message on Friday, someone called back today. To be fair they were quite apologetic and explained that my wife should have been told that if she didn't receive a call within 24 hours to then assume that the test was negative....
